Add SEO Title and Description

Set the SEO title and meta description for each page on your website.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) helps improve your site's visibility on search engines, bringing in more and better traffic. You can edit the title and description that show up in search results when people look for your site or related keywords.

How to set SEO settings

To manage your website's SEO settings, go to Site settings > SEO center.

There, you'll find two SEO settings:

  • Title – This is usually displayed as the title of your website in search results. It's recommended to keep it under 60 characters for better visibility.

  • Description – Typically shown below the title in search results. A well-written description can encourage clicks, especially if it aligns with your page content. While there's no strict character limit, search engines may truncate longer descriptions.

Search engines don't always show the description you set. Sometimes, they might choose to display a snippet of your page's body text if it better matches the search query. This is done to provide the most relevant information based on the user's search intent. While you can't control this, writing clear and relevant meta descriptions increases the chances of them being displayed.

Set page title and description

You can manage the SEO settings for each page by going to Site settings > Page settings.

There, you'll find two key SEO settings:

  • Page Title – This appears as the page title in search results. Again, it's best to keep it under 60 characters.

  • Page Description – This is typically displayed below the page title in search results. A compelling, relevant description encourages clicks. Like the site-wide description, there's no strict character limit, but longer descriptions may be cut off by search engines.

Publishing Changes

After updating your SEO settings, make sure to save and publish your site to apply the changes.
