Add SEO Title and Description
Set the SEO title and meta description for each page on your website.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization) helps improve your site's visibility on search engines, bringing in more and better traffic. You can edit the title and description that show up in search results when people look for your site or related keywords.
After updating your SEO settings, save changes and publish your site to apply the changes.
If search results still show outdated information, check the FAQ and troubleshooting guide.
How to set SEO settings
To manage your website's SEO settings, go to Site settings > SEO center.
There, you'll find two SEO settings:
Title – This is usually displayed as the title of your website in search results. It's recommended to keep it under 60 characters for better visibility.
Description – Typically shown below the title in search results. A well-written description can encourage clicks, especially if it aligns with your page content. While there's no strict character limit, search engines may truncate longer descriptions.
Set page title and description
Each page on your website can have its own SEO title and description, which helps search engines understand the content of that specific page.
SEO titles and descriptions should be specific and match the content of the individual page. For example, your homepage should have a different SEO title and description from your pricing page. Since SEO settings apply to individual pages and not the entire site, it's best to customize them for each page.
You can manage the SEO settings for each page by going to Site settings > Page settings.
There, you'll find two key SEO settings:
Page Title – This appears as the page title in search results. Again, it's best to keep it under 60 characters.
Page Description – This is typically displayed below the page title in search results. A compelling, relevant description encourages clicks. Like the site-wide description, there's no strict character limit, but longer descriptions may be cut off by search engines.
Publishing Changes
After updating your SEO settings, make sure to save and publish your site to apply the changes.
Keep in mind that search engines may take days, weeks, or even months to index your updated title tag and meta description before they appear in search results.
